<![CDATA[The National Health Insurance System imposes health service tariffs by way of the INA-CBGS tariff. Payment using the INA-CBGS system is based on the diagnosis issued to the patient. The difference in costs between class 1, 2, and 3 patients in the same code is the cost of accommodation. This study aims to compare the cost of inpatient treatment of hypertensive patients between class 1, 2, and 3 patients and to determine patterns of drug use. The research data was taken retrospectively from hospital financial data and patient medical records. The study was conducted for 10 months (October 2016 to July 2017) with a total of 53 patients who met the inclusion criteria. The results showed that the total hospital costs exceeded the INA-CBGs claim rates. The cost of using drugs per day for class 1 is Rp. 166,550, class 2 Rp. 161,659 and class 3 Rp. 99,285 with statistical test results obtained p value> 0.05. The pattern of drug use in patients class 1 (generic = 55.4%, patent 44.5%), class 2 (generic = 56%, patent 44%), and class 3 (generic = 60%, patent = 40%). The mean drug items received by class 1 patients = 12.16 items, class 2 = 12.75 items, and class 3 = 9.45 items. Based on the Post Hoc test, the results showed that the average drug prescribed for class 3 inpatient hypertension was significantly different from class 1 and 2 patients.]]>
