An expert system is a system that adopts human knowledge to a computer that combines basic knowledge with an inference system to replace the function of an expert in solving a problem. advances in expert systems can overcome this problem by designing a Desktop-based computer system that uses the Java programming language and MySQL database so that it can help users to diagnose disease. Various methods can be used to build expert systems, one of which is the Case Based Reasoning method. Where the process of calculating Case Based Reasoning compares new cases with old cases and divides them into four stages, namely retrieve, reuse, revise and retain, to get the results of the type of disease suffered by the patient in the form of a percentage.
