The popular phenomenon known as the “twilight child (anak senja)” among urban youth has sparked debate about synesthesia, a special condition in which the human brain is capable of experiencing a cross of the senses. This research will discuss the synesthesia phenomenon. The method used in this paper is art-based research. This method was chosen based on the view that research results can be known through artistic activities, especially creative practices. To discuss this, the author uses Kandinsky’s theory, which emphasizes the close relationship between colors and certain shapes to support this concept of synesthesia. Apart from synesthesia, there is also the term intuition which relates to a person’s ability to understand something without going through rational and intellectual reasoning. Synesthesia, Kandinsky’s theory, and intuition are three concepts that are interrelated and explain how the human brain works in the process of creating, enjoying, and understanding works of art, so these three approaches are used in this research. The results of the study show that the ability of the brain of someone with synesthesia can make the two senses cross when processing information. Therefore, he can see colors when he hears music or vice versa, he can see colors in shapes, letters, and numbers. a synesthete or people with synesthesia abilities benefit greatly in creative processes such as in music video production and virtual choirs because they are able to quickly come up with ideas just by listening to music.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Fenomena populer yang dikenal sebagai “anak senja” di kalangan remaja perkotaan telah memicu perdebatan tentang sinestesia, yaitu suatu kondisi istimewa ketika otak manusia mampu mengalami persilangan indra. Riset ini akan membahas mengenai fenomena sinestesia tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah riset berbasis seni (art base research). Metode ini dipilih berdasarkan pandangan bahwa hasil penelitian dapat diketahui melalui aktivitas seni, terutama praktik berkarya. Untuk membahas itu, penulis menggunakan teori Kandinsky, yang menekankan hubungan erat antara warna dan bentuk-bentuk tertentu untuk mendukung konsep sinestesia ini. Selain sinestesia, terdapat juga istilah intuisi yang berhubungan dengan kemampuan seseorang untuk memahami sesuatu tanpa melalui penalaran rasional dan intelektual. Sinestesia, teori Kandinsky, dan intuisi adalah tiga konsep yang saling terkait dan menjelaskan bagaimana otak manusia bekerja dalam proses menciptakan, menikmati, dan memahami karya seni sehingga ketiga pendekatan tersebut digunakan dalam riset ini. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa kemampuan otak seseorang dengan sinestesia bisa membuat kedua indranya bersilangan saat memproses sebuah informasi. Oleh karena itu, ia bisa melihat warna ketika mendengar musik atau sebaliknya, ia mampu melihat warna dalam sebuah bentuk, huruf, dan angka. seorang synesthete atau orang dengan kemampuan sinestesia sangat diuntungkan dalam proses kreatif seperti dalam produksi musik video dan virtual choir karena ia mampu dengan cepat mendapatkan ide hanya dengan mendengarkan musik saja.
