Background: Indonesia has the highest infant mortality rate (IMR) among all ASEAN countries in 2015 22.23 per 1000 live births, the main cause is LBW. One of the treatments that can be done to reduce the IMR in LBW is by offering breast milk. Objective: To determine the relationship between age and mother's knowledge of breastfeeding for low birth weight babies in RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Bandar Lampung Method: PosttestOnly Control Design Method. Population: mothers have LBW. Sample: 42 respondents. Instrument: Questionnaire presenting breast milk. Analysis: Chi Square Results: Maternal age variable had a significant relationship with maternal knowledge (p=0.002) while education variable did not have a significant relationship with maternal knowledge (p>0.05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between maternal age and mother's knowledge of breastfeeding for low birth weight babies.Keywords: Maternal Age, Knowledge, Breastfeeding, LBW
