PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL RATUN PERTAMA TANAMAN SORGUM (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) DENGAN SATU, DUA, ATAU TIGA TANAMAN PER RUMPUN

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the growth and yield of the first ratoon of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) with one, two, or three plants per clump. The experiment was conducted on land located in Dusun Papak, Segara Katon Village, Gangga District, North Lombok Regency from September 2022 to January 2023. The design used was Randomized Block Design (RAK) with two factors, namely varieties (Bioguma, Numbu, Pahat, Samurai, and Super 1) and the number of ratoons per clump (1, 2, and 3 ratoons per clump). The experiment was conducted with 15 treatment combinations and repeated 3 times so that there were 45 experimental units. Data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Honest Real Difference test (HSD) at the 5% level. The results showed that the varieties gave a significant effect on all observation parameters. Bioguma and Numbu varieties gave the highest yields of 5.8 t/ha and 5.4 t/ha, respectively. The treatment of the number of ratoons per clump had no significant effect on the number of leaves and flowering time but had a significant effect on other parameters. The density of 3 ratoons per clump gave the highest yield (5.9 t/ha). The combination of variety and number of ratoons per clump had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, stem diameter, flowering time, dry weight, and seed number. Keywords: sorghum ratoon, sorghum variety, number of ratoons per clumpINTISARIPenelitian ini bertujuan bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pertumbuhan dan hasil ratun pertama tanaman sorgum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) dengan satu, dua, atau tiga tanaman per rumpun. Percobaan dilaksanakan pada lahan yang terletak di Dusun Papak, Desa Segara Katon, Kecamatan Gangga, Kabupaten Lombok Utara pada bulan September 2022 sampai Januari 2023. Rancangan yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAK) Faktorial dengan dua factor yaitu varietas (Bioguma, Numbu, Pahat, Samurai, dan Super 1) dan jumlah ratun per rumpun (1, 2, dan 3 ratun per rumpun). Percobaan dilakukan dengan 15 kombinasi perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga terdapat 45 unit percobaan. Data dianalisis dengan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) dan uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa varietas memberikan pengaruh nyata pada semua parameter pengamatan. Varietas Bioguma dan Numbu memberikan hasil tertinggi masing-masing 5,8 t/ha dan 5,4 t/ha. Perlakuan jumlah ratun per rumpun tidak berpengaruh nyata pada parameter jumlah daun dan umur berbunga, namun berpengaruh nyata pada parameter lain. Kepadatan 3 ratun per rumpun memberikan hasil tertinggi (5,9 t/ha). Kombinasi antara varietas dan jumlah ratun per rumpun berpengaruh nyata pada parameter tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, umur berbunga, berat berangkasan kering, dan jumlah biji. Kata kunci: ratun sorgum, varietas sorgum, jumlah ratun per rumpun
