Background. Ramadhan fasting is cultural yearly and will impact health conditions during that activity. Despite exceptions and knowledge of the hazards of fasting, the large Muslim population with diabetes persists in fasting. The limit review focuses on the feeling and experiences of diabetes patients during Ramadhan fasting. Therefore, a qualitative review is essential to address more clearly among diabetes patients. Aim. To understand the experience of diabetes patients during Ramadhan fasting. Method. Review qualitative articles were collected articles from PubMed, WOS, google scholar, EBSCO, and Scopus. A thematic analysis was conducted with an iterative process to read, comprehend the primary articles' results, and make assumptions with a new theme from the review. Result. Eight articles explained the experience of diabetes patients during fasting Ramadhan. The new theme in this study was fasting motivation and religion, perception of fasting and challenges, well-being during Ramadhan fasting, management of diabetes during Ramadhan fasting, and environmental behavior during Ramadhan fasting. Conclusion. In conclusion understanding the fundamentals of Ramadan fasting, such as fasting restrictions, therapies, and operations that invalidate the fast, and the consequences of fasting on diabetes patients is necessary to have safe fasting for diabetes patients.
