This research is motivated by individuals required to be able to develop their potential covering various kinds of characters, one of which is learning independence. Low student learning independence can affect learning disorders such as not being able to concentrate for too long, researching only before exams, skipping classes, cheating, looking for exam leaks, and even procrastinating assignments. Procrastination or often called procrastination is a phenomenon that often occurs in schools. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between learning independence and academic procrastination of grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Cermin academic year 2022/2023. This research used quantitative research methods with a correlational design. The population of this research was all grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Cermin which amounted to 216 students. The sample number was 43 students with a simple random sampling technique. Based on the results of research on the relationship between learning independence and academic procrastination of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Cermin using the calculation of the product moment correlation of the two variables, namely learning independence (X) and academic procrastination (Y), the data obtained showed that robserved = 0.493 and rtable at a significant level of 5% of 0.301. The robserved > rtable, namely (0.493 > 0.301), thus it is stated that there is a relationship between learning independence and academic procrastination of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Cermin academic year 2022/2023
