Abstract

Implementation of values or core values of ETHICS, which are the State-Owned Enterprises' (SOEs) corporate jargon outlined in the Circular Letter of the Minister of SOEs, Erick Tohir, in 2020, as a corporate slogan within the framework of the Industrial Work Practice Program or student internship. The research focuses on the influence of SOEs' ethical jargon on the discipline of internship students. This study aims to analyze to what extent the implementation of SOEs' ethical jargon in an educational context can affect student discipline during their internship period in the business or industrial environment (Iduka). The research methodology used is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with relevant parties in Iduka (industrial supervising teachers), the school principal, the acting school supervisor (Plt), Deputy Head of Student Affairs, as well as direct observation of students during their internship. Data analysis was performed using content analysis techniques to identify the concepts of SOEs' ethical jargon implemented in internship activities and its impact on student discipline. The research findings indicate that the implementation of SOEs' ethical jargon in the internship program has a positive influence on student discipline. Values such as Trustworthy, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, and Collaborative, emphasized in SOEs' ethical jargon, are proven to support the formation of character and disciplined behavior among students during their internship. However, the research also identifies challenges in consistently integrating SOEs' ethical jargon in the internship environment at Iduka. This research contributes to the development of internship programs by considering moral and ethical aspects applied from Iduka. The practical implications of this research can be used as a guideline by schools and Iduka in designing internship programs that not only focus on technical aspects but also shape strong student character and discipline in accordance with the core values of SOEs' ethical jargon.
