There is no doubt that poverty is a great danger to religious beliefs. As the saying of Rasullah peace be upon him "almost poverty makes a person kufr". Sayyidina Ali ra in his famous statement said: "If poverty were in the form of a man, I would have killed him". From the two statements above it can be understood, that Muslims should not be trapped in poverty. In this study will try to explain how the Qur'an and Hadith provide guidance for Muslims in alleviating poverty. For that reason in explaining efforts to outline an explanation of the above phenomena the researcher uses an interpretive approach and thematic hadith. In general, the Qur'an and Hadith provide two aspects of guidance. Guidance from individuals includes Hard Work, and Simple Life while guidance derived from the social aspect that includes Management of Earning Zakat, Earning Alms and Infaq.
