In the era of globalization, success in diplomacy and negotiation relies not only on technical skills but also significantly on communication skills. This research aims to review the role of communication skills in both contexts. The research methodology involves a literature review with a qualitative approach. Literature analysis includes reviewing various sources discussing communication skills in diplomacy and negotiation. The findings of this research indicate that effective communication plays a significant role in achieving success in diplomacy and negotiation, serving not only as a bargaining tool but also as an instrument to alleviate conflicts and ensure the adherence to ethical communication in achieving national interests.
