<![CDATA[In pursuing spiritual practice each person has a goal that must be achieved. In Islamic Sufism there is the term mortal 'which is the elimination of all forms of lust and despicable traits in humans. This is the same as the concept of Nibbana contained in the teachings of Buddhism, Nibbana is pursued by the practice of curbing greed (lobha), hatred (dosa) and delusion (moha). Nibbana is basically a state of self-freedom from spiritual defilements that cause suffering and misery. The purpose of this study is to find out how the Relevance of the Teachings of Fana' in Islamic Taswuf and Nibbana in the Teachings of Buddhism. The method in this research is qualitative, library research. This discussion includes the notion of mortal teachings, the meaning of Nibbana/Nirvana and finally, the Relevance of Mortal Teachings in Islamic Sufism and Nibbana in Buddhism. The results of this study explain that the two teachings both emphasize the aspect of purifying the human soul from all despicable traits. The conclusion of this study, each of the teaching concepts brought either mortal or Nibbana in Islamic Sufism and the teachings of Buddhism are both teachings that lead to the highest peak of morality of the human soul.]]>
