Universities, as centers of innovation and knowledge, play a crucial role in managing intellectual property (IP). However, many academic institutions still need help managing IP data, so a sound governance system is needed to optimize the benefits of research and innovation results. This research aims to produce a system for managing intellectual property data in higher education and identify the factors that influence its success. The research method uses data analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and evaluation monitoring. The research results show that there are supporting tools for intellectual property governance. Recommendations for improving intellectual property data governance include improving supporting tools. Based on the findings, universities should also increase awareness and understanding of all parties regarding the importance of intellectual property. Developing an integrated information system for managing IP data is also highly recommended to facilitate data access and management. In addition, there needs to be increased collaboration between units in managing IP to ensure effective implementation of the policies and systems that have been created. Implementing an effective governance system will help universities maximize the potential of intellectual property.
