This article aims to discuss WhatsApp application as learning and information media at one of campus in Indonesia for the process of learning. The background in this study is how important the influence and use of social media WhatsApp group chat for students in the learning process, what is a negative or positive impact. Hence, the method used in this study is a qualitative method that directly interviews students or provides questionnaires to students in the use of social media WhatsApp group as a medium of learning and information. The results of this study indicated there is an impact in the used of social media WhatsApp group among students in the learning process, namely their personalities because they tend to be easy to scan, make things instant, addicted and social impacts that make it easier for them to receive learning information from lecturers or friends. The data in the analysis of WhatsApp application as learning and information media in educational context is very helpful and has a positive impact that is motivation, support, and also improvement in their learning process.
