This article was written based on the assumption that textbooks function as a source of student learning, so textbooks must be designed with various theories, especially educational theories, in the development process. In the world of education, textbooks do not only contain facts or explanations of events, but history textbooks must also be developed based on a philosophical basis. This is important because textbooks do not only contain facts and data, but if we examine them further, history textbooks in particular must be developed to be able to train students to hone their historical thinking in the learning process. This article aims to analyze the elements of the philosophical basis of history textbooks written by Restu Gunawan, Amurwani Dwi lestariningsih and Sardiman. The method used in writing this article is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through literature study. The data analysis was carried out by describing the data regarding the philosophical basis of the textbook. The results of the research show that the philosophical basis of the Indonesian history textbook for class.
