Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Leader-Member Exchange (LMX) on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), mediated by organizational commitment and job satisfaction. When employees exhibit extra-role behaviors such as OCB within the educational context, it is essential to consider the quality of the leader-member relationship, recognize the importance of a strong organizational commitment, and foster employee job satisfaction. The research employs a quantitative associative causality method. The population consists of civil servant administrative employees at public senior high schools across Lombok Island, under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. The sample size of 197 respondents was determined using Slovin's formula and selected through a sample survey technique from a total population of 389 individuals. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires distributed electronically, utilizing a Likert scale with five categories. Data analysis was performed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method, processed with SmartPLS version 3.29. The findings of this study conclude that LMX has a positive and significant impact on OCB, organizational commitment positively and significantly affects OCB, and job satisfaction also positively and significantly influences OCB. Furthermore, organizational commitment and job satisfaction are capable of mediating the influence of LMX on OCB.
