<![CDATA[Mathematical Comprehension Ability is an ability that teaches material not only as memorization but further deepens the understanding of a concept. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. This study aims to determine the criteria for mathematical comprehension ability of students in grade IX junior high school on the material of rank and root form. The subjects of this study were 7 students of Al-Amin Superior Junior High School class IX-B. The data processing techniques used consist of 1) data reduction, 2) presenting data, and 3) drawing conclusions. Data collection in this study was in the form of a written test describing mathematical comprehension skills and interviews with students and teachers. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that students are able to properly solve problems regarding rank and root form with an average score of 71.42 so that the mathematical comprehension ability of students of Al-Amin Superior Junior High School class IX-B is in the good category.]]>
