This research is motivated by the number of students who experience errors in solving social arithmetic problems. The subjects in this study were 21 students of class VIII F SMP Negeri 9 Cimahi. The method used is descriptive qualitative which aims to describe student errors in social arithmetic material using the Kastolan stage. The data analysis technique used in this study used an average percentage. While the purpose of this study is to find out and analyze student errors in working on social arithmetic problems. The results of this study indicate that students still experience conceptual errors with an average percentage of 24% with low criteria. Meanwhile, procedural errors have sufficient criteria with an average percentage of 45%.
