Among the professions in the health sector, nurses have a higher level of stress. This study aims to determine the factors associated with burnout in nurses in hospitals. This research method uses a literature review. The results of the research show that the factors related to the incidence of burnout in nurses in hospitals are divided into two, namely internal factors including gender, age, education level, marital status, tenure and personality as well as external factors including workload, leadership style and work stress. Suggestions for further research are expected to deepen the factors associated with the incidence of burnout by using a qualitative approach.
