Abstract

Caring is the result of culture, values, experiences and relationships between nurses and clients (Kusnanto, 2019). The attitude of nurses in nursing practice related to caring is to be present, touch affection, always listen and understand clients (Potter & Perry, 2009 in Kusnanto 2019). Kusnanto, 2019 Patient satisfaction is subjectively associated with the quality of a service obtained and objectively associated with past events, education, and psychological conditions, and the environment. Patient satisfaction depends on the nursing services provided by the nurse, whether they are as expected or not. According to the opinion (Firmansyah et al., 2019) The better the caring behavior of nurses in providing nursing care services, the happier the client or family is in receiving services, meaning that the nurse-client therapeutic relationship is increasingly fostered. Good nursing services and patient satisfaction can be used as an indicator of the success of health services at the health center, patient satisfaction will be fulfilled if the services provided are in accordance with patient expectations. To determine the relationship between caring nurses and the level of patient satisfaction. This study used a cross-sectional research design. The sample of this study amounted to 15 respondents with random sampling method and to collect data using a questionnaire of caring behavior of nurses and patient satisfaction. The chi square test was used to analyze data on the relationship between the two variables. From the results of research on the relationship of caring behavior of nurses to the level of patient satisfaction there are significant results with p-value < a (0.001 < 0.05).
