In this research, the author uses a type of research in the form of library research or library research where all research activities are carried out in the library. In this case the author carries out various processes used to collect information in completing research. This information can be obtained from scientific books, research reports, scientific essays, theses and dissertations, court decisions, expert opinions and written sources, both printed and electronic. The conclusion obtained in this research is that divorce factors in Koto Tangah District have an influence on the increase in divorce in Padang City. The dominant factor of divorce in Koto Tangah District, Padang City is leaving one of the parties and continuous disputes, which if presented, this factor of disputes and quarrels accounts for 80% of all divorce factors in Koto Tangah District, Padang City.]]>
