<![CDATA[Mass media is a communication and information medium that disseminates information massively and can be accessed by the public in bulk, one of the mass media is film. which has the characteristic of conveying messages to a group of people visually and audio. Body shaming is disfiguring a person's body shape. Body shaming can be classified in the category of bullying. The importance objective this study is to look more closely at the film Imperfect (2019) in terms of representation of the opposition to beauty standards based on Roland Barthes' Semiotics. This study uses qualitative methods with Roland Barthes's semiotic approach. Roland Barthes's semiotic method was chosen in this study because semiotics is a disciplinary guide that raises the meaning of messages through the objects studied. Based on Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis, the writer finds that Imperfect film represents meaning throughout the film which can be understood denotatively, connotatively, and mythically]]>
