Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui optimasi dari jumlah mordan berupa kapur sirih untuk meningkatkan kualitas kain tenun yang ada di desa Pringgasela. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa kondisi optimum jumlah konsentrasi mordan berupa kapur sirih pada pewarnaan benang secara alami dengan daun tarum yang menghasilkan warna lebih tajam dan tahan kelunturan adalah sebesar 4%. Pada kondisi ini jumlah rata-rata zat warna yang teradsorpsi sebesar 0,430 gr dengan jumlah massa rata-rata benang yang berkurang sebesar 0,180 gr. Abstract This study aims to determine the optimization of the amount of mordant in the form of whiting to improve the quality of woven fabrics in Pringgasela village. The results showed that the optimum condition for the amount of mordant concentration in the form of whiting on natural yarn dyeing with tarum leaves which produced a sharper color and friction resistance was 4%. In this condition, the average amount of dye adsorbed is 0,430 gr with the average mass of yarn being reduced by 0,180 gr.
