<![CDATA[Transparency and accessibility of information in local government is very important for the community. The Public Relations Section of the North Sumatra Provincial DPRD plays a crucial role in conveying accurate information and maintaining the image of the institution. This research uses a qualitative approach to understand the role of the Public Relations Section in expanding access to public information. The results show that the Public Relations Section acts as a communication bridge between the DPRD and the community. However, there are several obstacles such as limited human resources, limited facilities and infrastructure, and external factors. To overcome these obstacles, serious efforts are needed to improve the skills and knowledge of Public Relations, adequate budget allocation, increasing cooperation with the mass media, and building better relations with the community. Thus, this research provides a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities of the Public Relations Section of the North Sumatra DPRD and solutions that can be implemented. ]]>
