The dynamics of political change and its pressure on Indonesia's geostrategy must be considered because the negative effects can be detrimental and endanger national goals. The aim of this research is to analyze Indonesia's geostrategic dynamics and its role in the context of maritime security, so this research uses descriptive research. This type of secondary data is collected through literature, books and journals related to the research subject. Indonesian geostrategy, maritime security and Southeast Asia are the subjects of library research. Basically, geostrategy is the creation of a national strategy by considering geography as an important component. Even countries outside Southeast Asia see Southeast Asian waterways as strategic sea routes because of their maritime role in the Southeast Asian economy. In essence, Indonesia's geostrategic concept is not related to building power to control areas that are outside the boundaries of state sovereignty or expanding these areas to other countries.
