This study aims to determine the form of kinship of the Sayyid Community in Cikoang Village, Mangarabombang District, Takalar Regency, the social relationship between the Sayyid community and the non-Sayyid community, the position of women and men in the kinship system. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique used the method of observation, interviews, and documentation by involving 6 (six) individuals as informants. The results of the study show that: (1) The form of kinship in the Sayyid community in Cikoang Village is to maintain family relations with non Sayyids who have differences and still uphold togetherness. Mutual respect and respect for each other, and do not discriminate between one another; (2) The social relationship between the Sayyid community and the non-Sayyid community in Cikoang Village is interacting with each other or having good relations. The relationships that are prohibited in the Sayyid community are relations between women from the Sayyid community and non-Sayyid men; (3) the position of women and men in the context of marriage in the Sayyid community in Cikoang Village, namely the Sayyid community, there are rules regarding the selection of a mate or marriage for their offspring.
