Public administration has a crucial role in improving the quality of basic education in disadvantaged areas. The research method used is the literature method. The results found that to achieve improvements in the quality of basic education in disadvantaged areas, coordinated and sustainable efforts from the government are needed in the provision of infrastructure, improving the quality of teachers, providing learning resources, and socio-economic empowerment of the community. Collaboration between all relevant parties is also needed to create a conducive and equitable learning environment for all children in Indonesia.
