Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan berat badan terhadap jarak beranak pada kerbau yang dipelihara secara tradisional dan mendapatkan gambaran tentang penampilan reproduksi ternak kerbau betina di Kabupaten Poso. Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah: berat badan induk sesudah beranak, jarak beranak dan keadaan padang penggembalaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sistem pemeliharaan ternak kerbau di desa Tokilo Kecamatan Pamona Tenggara Kabupaten Poso menggunakan sistem pemeliharaan secara ekstensif/tradisional, rata-rata berat badan induk kerbau adalah 488 ± 64,63 kg dan rata-rata jarak beranak kebau betina di desa Tokilo adalah 20,14 2,96 bulan. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa persamaan regresi sebesar Y = 31.886-0,024 Berat Badan Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Berat badan mempengaruhi jarak beranak kerbau rawa (Bubalus bubalis) di desa Tokilo Kecamatan Pamona Tenggara Kabupaten Poso, Hubungan antara jarak beranak dan berat badan sebesar 52,4%, Persamaan regresi diperoleh Y = 31.886-0,024 Berat Badan. ABSTRACT: This study aims to determine the relationship between body weight and calving distance in buffaloes that are reared traditionally and to obtain an overview of the reproductive performance of female buffaloes in Poso District. The parameters observed in this study were: mother's body weight after calving, calving distance and grazing conditions. The results showed that the buffalo livestock rearing system in Tokilo Village, Pamona Tenggara District, Poso Regency used an extensive/traditional rearing system, the average body weight of the buffaloes was 488 ± 64.63 kg and the average calving distance to females in Tokilo Village was 20 .14 2.96 months. The results of statistical analysis showed that the regression equation was Y = 31,886-0.024. Body weight. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that body weight affects the calving distance of swamp buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) in Tokilo village, Pamona Tenggara District, Poso Regency.
