Abstract: The Rupiah Counterfeit Eradication Coordination Agency (Botasupal) is an independent state institution that plays a vital role in combating the circulation of counterfeit currency in Indonesia. As an agency established by government regulation, Botasupal holds an independent position in carrying out its duties, free from interference by other institutions, to ensure the effectiveness of counterfeit currency eradication. This status grants Botasupal the authority to coordinate with related agencies such as the Police, Bank Indonesia, the Ministry of Finance, and other supervisory bodies. In its role, Botasupal is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and addressing the circulation of counterfeit rupiah through various strategies, including legal enforcement and public education. Additionally, Botasupal functions as a liaison between the government and the public to raise awareness about the dangers of counterfeit currency circulation and provide concrete solutions to prevent related crimes. This study aims to analyze the position and role of Botasupal in efforts to eradicate counterfeit currency, as well as the challenges faced by this agency in performing its duties.Keywords: Botasupal, Ounterfeit Currency, Eradication.
