Politik Aliran di Bali Pasca Soeharto

Abstract: This paper tries to see the phenomenon of “politik aliran” in party politics in Bali. The key concept in the analysis of this paper begins from the understanding of the social cleavage on how the structure of society becomes the locus of the emergence of the party. After mapping the social locus where the social base of the party grows, attention will then be given to how the fundamental social conflict is manifested in the choices the party as a channel of interest. The research showed that the choice at the local level illustrates the pattern of choice at the national level, so that the configuration of local politics can be understood as a reflection of national politics. Issues and campaigns at the national level to influence the pattern of choice at the local level. Keywords:politikaliran, political party, social cleavage, voting behavior                                                                                           Abstrak: Tulisan ini berusaha melihat fenomena aliran dalam politik kepartaian dalam politik lokal di Bali.Konsep kunci dalam analisis tulisan ini berangkat dari pemahaman terhadap social cleavage atas bagaimana struktur masyarakat menjadi lokus kemunculan partai. Setelah memetakan lokus sosial masyarakat dimana basis sosial partai tumbuh, perhatian kemudian akan diberikan kepada bagaimana konflik sosial yang fundamental ini termanifestasi dalam pilihan-pilihan  partai sebagai penyalur kepentingan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pilihan di tingkat lokal menggambarkan pola pilihan di tingkat nasional, sehingga konfigurasi politik lokal dapat dipahami sebagai cermin dari politik nasional.Isu dan kampanye di tingkat nasional dapat memengaruhi pola pilihan ditingkat lokal. Kata kunci: politik aliran, partai politik, pembelahan sosial, perilaku memilih
