PENINGKATAN EKONOMI MASYARAKAT PESISIR MELALUI PELATIHAN PENGOLAHAN IKAN RUCAH

Abstrak: Ikan rucah, salah ikan yang tidak dikonsumsi dan dijadikan sebagai pakan ternak. Kandungan gizi ikan rucah tinggi akan protein, sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan gizi akan protein tubuh. Permasalahan yang ada, ikan rucah tidak dilirik dan dianggap limbah oleh masyarakat sehingga keberadaannya sangat berlimpah, tetapi tidak di konsumsi. Tujuan pengabdian untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pengolahan ikan rucah pada kelompok msyarakat pesisir sebagai upaya peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat pesisir. Metode yang dilakukan dengan sosialisasi dan praktek pengolahan ikan rucah menjadi produk bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Kegiatan ini bertempat di Rumah Ketua Poklahsar seRama, yang diikuti oleh 25 peserta dari kelompok. Sebelum dlaksanakan praktek, peserta terlebih dahulu menjawab pertanyaan sebagai ujian awal [pretest], untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kemampuan dan pengetahuan tentang ikan rucah dan pemanfaatannya. Lalu dilakukan praktek pengolahan ikan rucah menjadi produk yang bernilai jual tinggi. Setelah itu, dilakukan evaluasi kembali (posttest) untuk mengetahui pemahaman peserta pelatihan. Hasil yang telah dicapai terjadi peningkatan sebesar 80% baik softskill dan hardskill.Abstract: Trash fish, one of the fish that is not consumed and used as animal feed. The nutritional content of trash fish is high in protein, so it can meet the body's nutritional needs for protein. The problem is that trash fish is not looked at and is considered waste by the community, so it is very abundant, but not consumed. The aim of the service is to improve the processing skills of rucah fish in coastal community groups as an effort to improve the economy of coastal communities. The method used is socialization and practice of processing trash fish into products of high economic value. This activity took place at the Poklahsar seRama Chair's house, which was attended by 25 people from the group. Before carrying out the practice, participants first answer questions as an initial test (pretest), to find out the extent of their abilities and knowledge about trash fish and their use. Then the practice of processing trash fish into products with high selling value is carried out. After that, a re-evaluation (posttest) was carried out to determine the training participants' understanding. The results achieved were an increase of 80% in both soft skills and hard skills.
