<![CDATA[Patriarchy is a social system that places men as the main power holders and domination in various roles in society and households. Patriarchy requires wives or mothers to be responsible for domestic affairs and taking care of children. Mothers are one of the groups that are vulnerable to mental health problems, especially depression. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between patriarchy and the mental health of mothers who have toddlers, especially in terms of depression as measured by DASS 42. This research method is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional research design. The research sample used a total sampling of 37 mothers who have toddlers in Rawa Bangun Village, Rengat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province. The results of the DASS 42 measurement on the aspect of depression showed that the majority of mothers of toddlers were in the normal range, namely 19 people (51.4%), mild category 8 people (21.6%), moderate 8 people (21.6%), severe 1 person (2.7%) and in the very severe range 1 person (2.7%). The one way ANOVA test showed a p-value of 0.853, which means there is no relationship between patriarchy and the mental health of mothers with toddlers in terms of depression.]]>
