Abstract

Employee performance and productivity are the main factors in determining the success of an organization, including in the context of education. This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership style and teacher competence on teacher performance with organizational culture as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach, this study involved all elementary school teachers as the population and samples with a saturated sampling technique (85 respondents). Data were collected through a Likert scale-based questionnaire and analyzed using inferential statistical methods. The results of the study indicate that transformational leadership style and teacher competence have a direct effect on teacher performance. In addition, organizational culture acts as a partial mediating variable in the relationship between transformational leadership style and teacher competence on teacher performance. Principals who implement transformational leadership tend to create an innovative work environment, while teacher competence contributes to building a strong organizational culture that is oriented towards learning goals. The implications of this study highlight the importance of principals in clarifying the vision and mission of the institution and improving teacher competence in order to create a more effective learning environment.
