<![CDATA[ ABSTRAK Virus mendorong terjadinya transformasi ganas pada sel yang merupakan langkah awal dalam proses onkogenesis kompleks. Gen dalam genom virus yang mengubah host dalam mengontrol proliferasi sel, sehingga menyebabkan sintesis protein baru dan bertanggungjawab untuk karakteristik transformasi tersebut. Onkogen dapat dikategorikan ke dalam lima kelompok dalam hal sifat biokimia dan fungsional berdasarkan protein yang dihasilkan dari protoonkogen. Kelompok ini adalah faktor pertumbuhan, reseptor faktor pertumbuhan, transduser sinyal, faktor transkripsi dan lain-lain. ABSTRACT Viruses promote the malignant transformation of cells which is the initial step in the complex process of oncogenesis. Genes in the viral genome that transform the host control cell proliferation, thereby causing the synthesis of new proteins, and are responsible for characterizing that transformation. Oncogenes can be categorized into five groups in terms of biochemical and functional properties based on the proteins produced from proto-oncogenes. This group comprises growth factors, growth factor receptors, signal transducers, and transcription factors. ]]>
