This study aims to identify and analyze Islamic values in the traditional art of Javanese wayang kulit, focusing on the characters of Punakawan: Semar, Gareng, Petruk, and Bagong. Wayang kulit, which has been adapted by Sunan Kalijaga as a medium of da'wah, has an important role in conveying Islamic teachings through the symbolism and narratives of its characters. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach, which allows for in-depth exploration of moral and spiritual themes in the Punakawan characters. The results of the study show that each character reflects fundamental Islamic values: Semar symbolizes wisdom and faith, Gareng represents patience and caution, Petruk depicts creativity and devotion, and Bagong reflects honesty and critical thinking. Wayang kulit not only functions as entertainment, but also as an effective moral education tool in society. However, this study also noted a decline in interest in traditional arts for the younger generation, so innovation is needed in the delivery and integration of wayang into the education system. The conclusion of this study confirms that wayang kulit has great potential in shaping the character and spiritual values of society, so that efforts to preserve and develop more relevant delivery methods in the modern era are very necessary.
