<![CDATA[During the age of under five, nutritional issues such as malnutrition are prone to occur. Thus, mothers’ role in providing meals through responsive feeding is important. This research was to investigate the correlation between the level of maternal knowledge and attitude towards responsive feeding with the nutritional status of children under five. It was a correlational study with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of mothers with children under five attending the Posyandu (Integrated Health Service) in Arcawinangun Village, East Purwokerto District, totaling 211 individuals. The sampling technique used was cluster sampling. The instruments were questionnaires related to knowledge and attitudes towards responsive feeding. Data analysis used the Spearman rank correlation test. The results showed that most of maternal knowledge was good (77%); the maternal attitude was good (67.1%); and the nutritional status of children under five was normal (78.9%). The results of data analysis showed there was a significant relationship between the level of maternal knowledge and the attitude of responsive feeding with the nutritional status of children under five (p value = 0.000). Education about responsive feeding to mothers who have less knowledge and attitudes was needed to improve the nutritional status of children under five.]]>
