<![CDATA[Copyright infringement songs that currently concern not to mention piracy through the media CD or DVD cassette, but also through the development of internet technology. Copyright infringement on the internet, either in the form of songs or video clips when this very concern. The large number of websites that provide free songs download, so easily get users quickly and free of charge on the internet. The writing of this law aims to acknowledge and answer the problems regarding the obstacles in the legal protection provided by Act No. 19 of 2002 on copyright and the law number 11 year 2008 about the information and electronic transactions to the creators and prevention efforts should be done in order not to breach copyright on songs and music on the internet. This research is a descriptive nature of normative research. The data source used is the secondary law of the data source. The data collected with technical studies library. From the results of this study, obtained the data that there is a large number of constraints in the protection of copyright on the song and music on the internet and efforts made to prevent the occurrence of violations of copyright songs and music on the internet media with socialization and cultivation of the habit to the community to understand the existing norms, provide the reprimand and the blocking against the website that facilitates illegal downloads.
