This research aims to determine the improvement of basic volleyball technical skills through video-based learning methods at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al Imamiyah Pasongsongan, Sumenep, in the 2023-2024 academic year. Basic volleyball technical skills, such as passing, serving, sets, and spikes, are an important aspect of learning the sport, but are often difficult to teach effectively with conventional methods. Therefore, video-based learning methods are used to provide a clear visual depiction of these basic techniques, which can be accessed by students both in direct learning activities and independently outside class hours. This research uses an experimental method with a pretest-posttest design, where students are given a volleyball skills test before and after implementing the video-based learning method. The research results showed that there was a significant increase in students' basic volleyball technical skills after implementing the video-based learning method. This shows that video as a learning medium can help students understand and master basic volleyball techniques better. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the development of sports learning methods in madrasas, especially in improving students' skills in volleyball.
