The use of language is important in communication. Speaking of communication, rhetoric is a medium that is often used by speakers in front of many people. This study aims to describe the rhetorical utterances used by teachers in classroom learning and the application of problem-based learning methods. The source of research data comes from Irma Masruroh's youtube channel in the form of videos of Indonesian language learning class XI at MA KH Syafi'i Pekalongan Central Java. The results of the research found the use of rhetoric in teacher utterances during learning, namely 4 logos rhetoric utterances, 4 pathos rhetoric utterances, 4 ethos rhetoric utterances, 2 Rhyme rhetoric utterances, 4 Anaphora rhetoric utterances, and 3 Parison rhetoric utterances. In addition, from the research that has been done, 5 phases were found in the learning process, namely orienting students to the problem, organizing students to explore problems, guiding and directing students individually or in groups in problem solving, developing and presenting work, analyzing and evaluating the problem solving process
