The aim of this research is to determine the improvement in employee performance at the Bureau of Goods and Services Procurement of the Regional Secretariat of Riau Islands Province through training and motivation. The research location is at the Procurement of Goods and Services Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of Riau Islands Province. The population in this study were employees of the Procurement of Goods and Services Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of Riau Islands Province, totaling 67 people in 2019. Determining the sample for this study used total sampling or census. The sample in the study amounted to 67 people. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis technique. Based on hypothesis testing and discussion of research results, the conclusions obtained are 1) Training can improve the performance of employees of the Bureau of Goods and Services Procurement of the Regional Secretariat of Riau Islands Province, meaning that training has a real influence on performance. 2) Motivation can improve the performance of employees of the Procurement of Goods and Services Bureau of the Riau Islands Province Regional Secretariat, meaning that motivation has a real influence on performance. 3) Training and motivation can improve the performance of employees of the Bureau of Goods and Services Procurement of the Regional Secretariat of Riau Islands Province.
