<![CDATA[ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Penggunaan masker adalah salah satu langkah pencegahan yang dapat membatasi penyebaran penyakit-penyakit saluran pernapasan tertentu yang diakibatkan oleh virus, termasuk COVID-19. Pentingnya penggunaan masker yang benar masih kurang difahami oleh masyarakat dalam pencegahan penyakit dimana potensi penularan Covid-19 jika antara penderita dan yang sehat memakai masker hanya 1,5%.Metode: Memberikan edukasi kepada warga RT.15 Kelurahan Simpang III Sipin dengan metode ceramah, tanya jawab dan demostrasi tentang cara penggunaan masker yang benar. Hasil: 15 orang (100%) warga mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran menggunakan masker sebagai pencegahan terhadap corona virus-19. Kesimpulan: Setelah dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan pada warga RT 15 Kelurahan Simpang Tiga Sipin warga mau menggunakan masker sebagai pencegahan terhadap corona virus-19. ABSTRACT Background: The use of masks is one of the preventive measures that can limit the spread of certain respiratory diseases caused by viruses, including COVID-19. The importance of the correct use of masks is still poorly understood by the public in disease prevention where the potential for Covid-19 transmission if between sufferers and healthy people wear masks is only 1.5%.
