Typhoid fever is a disease that can affect individuals across all age groups, from children and adolescents to adults. Due to its potential severity, heightened vigilance is necessary, as delayed treatment can lead to fatal outcomes. At Swasti Saba Community Health Center (Puskesmas Swasti Saba), there is currently only one physician responsible for managing typhoid cases, and the facility lacks technological tools to aid in diagnosing the disease. This limitation results in slower response times and less accurate data collection. To address these challenges, it is essential to develop an expert system that utilizes the Certainty Factor method for diagnosing typhoid fever. The objective of this study is to create such a system to determine the certainty level of typhoid fever diagnoses at Puskesmas Swasti Saba. By implementing this expert system, it is anticipated that the diagnostic process will be expedited and enhanced, thereby assisting the physician in making more accurate and timely decisions.
