Oral myofunctional therapy for patients with temporomandibular disorders: Terapi miofungsional oral bagi pasien dengan gangguan temporomandibula

Investigating the role of oral myofunctional therapy for the treatment of temporomandibular disorders (TMD). A literature search was conducted to find randomised controlled trials conducted in humans. Oral myofunctional therapy was found to be effective for the treatment of TMD, both as a single therapy and in combination with other treatments. It was concluded that although the scientific evidence is still weak, oral myofunctional therapy appears to be effective for the treatment of TMD with a favourable cost-benefit and risk-benefit ratio.
