<![CDATA[The destruction of the Ciliwung River (Sungai Ciliwung) was once the basis for a publication which stated that the river is the most polluted river in the world. Not only disrupting the main functions of the river, activities that cause disruption to the river ecology also have a negative impact on the city through which it passes; Jakarta. This study aims to explore the role and benefits of the Padepokan Ciliwung Condet (PCC) in an effort to revitalize the functions of the river. The research was conducted for a year (2020) using the participatory research method. This study uses a qualitative approach and is described descriptively. Padepokan Ciliwung Condet has succeeded in making efforts to prevent river pollution in the Condet area, as well as being a means of social education about river ecology and environmental improvement in the area. This research shows that the PCC applies the basic principles of environmental science by building a community that cares for the environment that effectively transforms the people awareness around the hermitage to participate in maintaining the river environment in the area.]]>
