Abstract

This paper explores the significance, spiritual dimensions, and historical anecdotes surrounding Zamzam water, with a focus on its deeply rooted place in Islamic tradition and practice. The objective of this research is to understand the spiritual power attributed to Zamzam when consumed with sincere intention, as documented through authentic hadiths and the experiences of notable scholars throughout Islamic history. Using a qualitative, textual analysis method, the study references classical sources and biographical works to compile instances where Zamzam was drunk with specific intentions, leading to remarkable outcomes in both spiritual and worldly matters. The research further examines the etiquettes of drinking Zamzam and the theological implications of gazing at it as an act of worship. It concludes that the sincerity of intention (niyyah) is central to the miraculous benefits of Zamzam, as supported by prophetic traditions and the lived experiences of scholars across centuries. The findings highlight how consistent belief, supplication, and adherence to prophetic etiquette amplify the blessings of Zamzam. This study contributes to the broader understanding of Islamic spirituality and the role of sacred rituals in shaping individual transformation.
