Abstract

The set of findings splinter-bar in South Sulawesi are usually associated with human pres­ence with a custom sapiens living in a niche or cave and rock painting traditions developed (rock art). This sapiens human groups are also expected to expand its territory to areas acupation open field by the river. Although until now there has been no evidence of human stone tool industry supporters in Jeneponto, but with the discovery of stone tools is wide­spread in the region are strong evidence of prehistoric human presence in this region during a given. Himpunan temuan sempalan-bar di Sulawesi Selatan biasanya dikaitkan dengan kehadiran manusia sapiens yang hidup di ceruk atau gua dan tradisi lukisan batu yang dikembangkan (seni cadas). Kelompok manusia sapiens ini juga diharapkan memperluas wilayahnya ke daerah-daerah akupasi lapangan terbuka di tepi sungai. Meskipun hingga saat ini belum ada bukti pendukung industri alat batu manusia di Jeneponto, tetapi dengan ditemukannya alat-alat batu yang tersebar luas di wilayah tersebut merupakan bukti kuat keberadaan manusia prasejarah di wilayah ini selama diberikan.
