Keefektifan Model RADEC dan CIRC dalam Pembelajaran Menulis Teks Eksposisi

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of RADEC and CIRC models in improving exposition text writing skills of grade VIII students at SMP Telkom Makassar. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII D as the experimental class and class VIII F as the control class. Data collection techniques were carried out through exposition text writing tests before and after treatment in two different classes. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics and t-test. The results showed that the H value was 0.881 and the  value (α = 0.05; df = 61) was 2.002. Since = 0.881 <  (α/2) = 2.002, H₀ is accepted, which indicates that there is no significant difference between the writing outcomes of students taught with RADEC and CIRC models. However, the average score of the RADEC class of 82.19 was higher than that of the CIRC class of 80.31. The RADEC model is more effective than the CIRC model in improving the writing skills of grade VIII students. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model RADEC dan CIRC dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII di SMP Telkom Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen tipe nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII D sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII F sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes menulis teks eksposisi sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan pada dua kelas berbeda. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai  sebesar 0,881 dan nilai  (α = 0,05; df = 61) sebesar 2,002. Karena = 0,881 <  (α/2) = 2,002, maka H₀ diterima, yang menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil menulis siswa yang diajar dengan model RADEC dan CIRC. Namun, rata-rata nilai siswa pada kelas RADEC sebesar 82,19 lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas CIRC yang sebesar 80,31. Model RADEC lebih efektif dibandingkan model CIRC dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas VIII.
