<![CDATA[Growth retardation occurs when the body of a child under 5 years old (toddler) does not reach its age-appropriate length or height. If the results of measuring body length (MU) or height (average) show <-2 SD (standard deviation) from the standard size of child growth and development this can be influenced by the quality of drinking water. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the biological and physical quality of drinking water with the incidence of stunting. The research design used is an observational analytic research design using quantitative data through a cross sectional approach and sampling techniques with Purposive Sampling from a population of 143 toddlers obtained a sample of 104 toddlers who live in the village of East Kedaton. From the results of the analysis it is known that the proportion of the incidence of respondents whose E-Coli microbiological quality is poor with stunting is 10 (31.2%) and the proportion of respondents whose Total Coliform microbiological quality is poor with stunting is 11 (28.2%), the proportion of respondents whose physical quality of water does not meet the requirements with stunting is 9 (30.0%). The results of the chi square test showed a significant relationship between the microbiological quality of E-Coli (p = 0.014), Total Coliform (p = 0.024), and the physical quality of water (p = 0.035) with the incidence of stunting.]]>
