<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach on elementary school students' numeracy literacy skills based on Gender. The method used is an experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The research subjects consisted of two fifth-grade classes at SDN 6 Palembang: the experimental class received PMRI-based learning, while the control class received conventional instruction. The instrument used was an essay test designed to measure students’ numeracy literacy skills. Data analysis using two-way ANOVA revealed that: (1) the PMRI approach had a significant effect on students’ numeracy literacy skills; (2) there was no significant difference in numeracy literacy based on Gender; and (3) there was no significant interaction between the teaching approach and Gender in affecting students’ numeracy literacy.
