<![CDATA[The COVID-19 pandemic is a major health emergency thatcauses significant suffering and many deaths among indigenouspeople worldwide. During the pandemic, indigenouscommunities have higher rates of health problems than thegeneral population. This review explores the impact andstrategies for handling COVID-19. This scoping review aims todraw key concepts from the available literature that underpinsa research area. The literature search was conducted on eightdatabases, namelyPubMed,DOAJ,Science Direct,Cochrane,Wiley,ProQuest, andGaruda, in July-November 2022. Theonline search engine was Google, and the keywords for thesearch were "impact of COVID-19 in indigenous people". Theresults of this review are expected to provide a reference ofstrategic considerations to deal with the pandemic inindigenous people. These strategies should focus on improvingdigital skills, health literacy to combat misinformation,awareness of COVID-19 handling, the benefits of COVID-19prevention, and compliance with health guidelines as well as onactively involving patients in health decisions]]>
