Abstract

Public service is one of the benchmarks for the quality of government performance in meeting the needs of society. The Department of Industry and Trade of Bali Province, as a strategic public service institution in the industrial and trade sectors, plays an important role in improving public satisfaction. However, based on the results of the Community Satisfaction Survey (SKM) conducted periodically, there are inconsistencies in service quality, particularly in complaint handling, service information, and service duration. This study aims to analyze the influence of public services on community satisfaction. The research uses a quantitative associative approach with data collected through questionnaires. The population of this study consists of service users at the Department of Industry and Trade of Bali Province, with the sample determined using purposive sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression, correlation, and determination tests. The results indicate a significant influence between public service and community satisfaction. Public services that are fast, accurate, accessible, fair, and reliable greatly contribute to increasing public satisfaction with the services provided by the Department of Industry and Trade of Bali Province. Therefore, continuous improvement in the quality of public services is essential to strengthen public trust in government institutions. Abstrak Pelayanan publik merupakan salah satu tolak ukur kualitas kinerja pemerintah dalam memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat. Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Provinsi Bali sebagai instansi yang menyediakan layanan publik strategis di bidang industri dan perdagangan memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kepuasan masyarakat. Namun, berdasarkan data Survei Kepuasan Masyarakat (SKM) yang dilakukan secara berkala, ditemukan adanya ketidakkonsistenan kualitas pelayanan, terutama pada unsur pengaduan, informasi pelayanan, dan durasi pelayanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pelayanan publik terhadap kepuasan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif asosiatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat pengguna layanan di DISPERINDAG Provinsi Bali, dan sampel ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana, uji korelasi, dan uji determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pelayanan publik terhadap kepuasan masyarakat. Pelayanan publik yang cepat, tepat, mudah, adil, dan andal berkontribusi besar dalam meningkatkan kepuasan masyarakat terhadap layanan yang diberikan oleh Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Provinsi Bali. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan kualitas pelayanan publik harus terus diupayakan secara berkelanjutan guna memperkuat kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap institusi pemerintah.
